Goalkeeper Panshak Silas has emerged Plateau United’s player for the month of November.
The goalkeeper who has been churning out impressive performances since last season, is already in superb form so far in Plateau United preparations ahead of the new season which kicks-off next week.
Silas who was promoted from the club’s feeder team five years ago, had his breakthrough last season when he kept three matches including a clean sheet in the club’s two-nil victory in their last home match of the 2020/2021 NPFL season against Dakadda of Uyo.
The Pankshin born goalkeeper continue with his rich vein of form as he put up a man-of-the-match performance as the Lalong Boys defeated nearby neighbours, Nasarawa United of Lafia one-nil to win the Abuja Unity Pre-season Football Tournament in October.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, an elated Silas said he dedicated the award to God and his teammates for their unflinching support.
“I thank God for the award bestowed on me today as the best player for the month of November. I want to use this medium to assure our fans that the award will only spur me to do more for the team.”
Silas is now the third person to have won the award after Daniel Itodo and Ikefe Andrew scooped the award for the month of September and October.
It would be recalled that Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu initiated the award as an avenue of creating healthy Competition in the team, shortly after succeeding Coach Abdu Maikaba as Technical Adviser of Plateau United in September.
