When I read the write up of one of my friends where he wrote how Ayinke Dayo Kujore the daughter of juju music legend Wonder Dayo Kujore showed her pain and disgust with the lackadaisical attitude of the Ogun State Government to the news of the death of one of their illustrious sons it makes one wonder why those who contribute immensely to the creative sectors of the country usually die unsung.
Ayinke who is a media personality may not be wrong afterward as she must have noticed that musical charlatans are given special recognition than iconic stars. She must have watched over time how we neglect our creative geniuses who have contributed to the growth of our music sector but rather celebrate mediocre whose songs can’t stand the test of time.
She must be so pained that her father a household name in Nigeria and who was a role model to her and other musicians in the country and the world over won’t be given State recognition.

Ayinke has forgotten that it is our regular trademark.
Here is a man who started playing music at age 18. A man who had his tutelage under Prince Adekunle. A man who created the soko juju music genre. A man that has spread juju music repertoire across the world. A man that Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey MFR recently in his condolence message said should have been one of the Juju Musicians to keep the Juju Music Industry alive long after his demise.
Are we going to blame Gentleman Dapo Abiodun for such oversight or his media aides who have failed to help represent his Excellency in a simple condolence letter to the family of the bereaved whose untimely death came 3 weeks after his wedding to his American heartthrob?
Hummmm Ajo Ju Owo Lo Oooooo🤔🤔🤔
