Everything in the kingdom of God operates by faith, which means that we are going to always have to use faith to appropriate what grace has already made available to us. The vision God gives us will always be bigger than we are because He wants us to always have to depend on Him.
The Israelites in Numbers Chapter 13 certainly feared failure when it came to possess the land God promised them. It was rightfully theirs, but intimidation was lurking in their minds. When the twelve’s spies went to Canaan to survey the land, they returned to Moses and Caleb with a bad report that was based on what they say: “And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature…and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. “(vv.32,33).
In spite of the negative report they brought back, I love what Caleb in verse 30, “…Let us go up at once, and possess it, for we are well able to overcome it. “That sounds lie an attitude that is governed by the spirit of me! Caleb not only refused to accept the bad report, but he wanted his people to immediately move into action! In essence, he was saying to the Israelites, “Let’s just do it.
It takes faith to succeed in life – faith in God’s love for us that no matter how big the challenges look, we possess something bigger than the challenge. Our faith, backed by the blessing of God, is what unlocks the door to ultimate success and victory in life. We must adopt a Caleb mindset and attitude in every situation we face. This is the winner‘s attitude, who doesn’t look at the hurdle but sees the end from the beginning.
I don’t know what your vision or dream is, but if God gave it to you, it requires faith to come to pass. Being filling up on the word so your degree of confidence can rise high enough to move you into action. Know that with the spirit of might and the blessing of God on your side, nothing can stop you. The fear of failure has no place in the life of believers who knows what God has made available to them. Whatever it is God has called you to do – just do it! Success is inevitable.
