Prayer is the only open channel between God and humans that is available to all regardless of their standing with God.
It doesn’t matter if you are in a fallen or exalted state, you can pray and God will hear you.
But, let me make it clear to all my readers that the only prayer of a sinner that God can hear and answer is the prayer of repentance.
What that means is that God doesn’t hear sinners but His ears are open to the prayers of His people. So, if you want God to hear you, first give your life to Christ, the Anointed One who came to the world to die for your salvation.
Jesus gave his life as a ransom for all sinners so that they could be reconciled with God. That’s how we were able to regain fellowship with our Creator after Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden.
That sin was transmitted to mankind by the first couple. That’s how we because sinners.
Since you are a sinner, not just because of what you did, but because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve, God, being just and righteous, decided in the multitude of His mercies, to send His only begotten son, Jesus to come to the world to pay for the penalty of sin to redeem mankind.
However, your only responsibility now, if you haven’t already done so, is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. That’s all it takes to get saved from eternal hell, the Gehenna of fire that burns forever.
So, to qualify to benefit from the prayer covenant, you have to give your life to Christ. The preamble to this teaching on the Art of Prayer is to make you understand that, unless you are part of the commonwealth of believers, by giving your life to Christ, God cannot hear you. I am going to stop here this week so that you don’t lose track of this teaching.
