Preparations For Women’s Premier League In Top Gear – Musa Kida

Coming on the heels of the recently held successful NBBF Men’s Premier league championship, the President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, has declared the readiness of his board to hold the NBBF Zenith Women’s Premier league, stating that the preparations have reached advanced stages.
The amiable NBBF boss revealed that discussions and plannings for women’s premier league is ongoing with the league sponsors. He added that the league would come with all the excitements and passion, similar to what was witnessed during the men’s league held in Lagos.
“We understand the desire and hunger of our women to play the league. And I tell you, we’re working very hard and in concert with the league sponsors, to ensure that the championship begin, as soon as possible.
“I’m happy with the renewed verve and fervour for basketball again in Nigeria. We aren’t going to relent on our avowed promise to the development and growth of the game in Nigeria,” Kida remarked.
He urged concerned stakeholders and investors to redouble their efforts towards the continued development of the game in Nigeria. Adding that, the game needs the support of all critical stakeholders to reached the desired heights.
