Arsenal are close to agreeing to a club-record deal worth over £100million with West Ham United for midfielder Declan Rice.
Arsenal have made Rice their top target for the summer transfer window and are expected to beat Manchester United and Bayern Munich to his signature.
While the Gunners are yet to officially submit a bid, talks with West Ham are progressing smoothly and according to The Guardian, there is growing confidence the deal will be completed soon.
Arsenal are set to offer £90million, with the Hammers requesting add-ons that will take the fee over the £100million mark.
The report added that agreeing to personal terms is not expected to be an issue, with Rice eager to link up with Arsenal.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta views the England international, who lifted the Europa Conference trophy with West Ham last Wednesday, as the player who can play a key role in mounting another Premier League title challenge next season.
