No First Lady has promoted the round leather game like the current Nigerian First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari. The outspoken and intrepid wife of our taciturn President, Muhammadu Buhari, surprised many when she introduced the female soccer contest, Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament.
In the maiden 6 – Nation Tournament played in Nigeria last September, the South African Female National team; Bayana Bayana (The Girls, The Girls) stunned the Super Falcons to win the cup 4 – 2. The Tournament was organised by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
For creating the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, our beautiful and fashionable First Lady, is honoured by the BEATS Board of Editors, with the Sports Personality of the Year 2021.
