Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli (MFR) is a Nigerian flutist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots.
Tee Mac’s road to stardom, though from a wealthy family of Swiss and Itsekiri roots, was not paved with gold. The Legendary flutist is a good entertainer and he is known all over the world.
Recently he narrated his trip to Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos where he went for a yearly Garden Party/Fundraising event of the Musical Society of Nigeria (Muson) at the well-maintained garden of the complex.
“Sunday the 30th of January 2022 at 4 pm was the yearly Garden Party/Fundraising event of the Musical Society of Nigeria (Muson) at the well-maintained garden of the complex. I had not participated in many years so yesterday I went with my son Kingsley and we had a great time.
“The Who is who of the music and art scene was there. My godfather Chief Aktintola Williams, (a co-founder), Chairman Chief Louis Mbanefo, Oskar Ibru, and wife, the list goes on and on. We had great music from the final year students and special guests, while first-class food was served. From classical to light entertainment and then it was my time to play my flute with a short funk/Afrobeat rendition.
“I told the MUSON student band the key, the cords and we went on without a rehearsal. Some of the prominent members of MUSON came out to dance. The food was excellent as usual (La Scala kitchen), the drinks were plenty and varied. I had a great afternoon and left at 7 pm.
“I am a co-founder and contributor to MUSON and very proud that 1983 established Musical Society has grown to the most successful non-profit-making NGO in Nigeria.
“I appeal to everyone to come and enjoy the quality Classical, Jazz, and Theatre performances at the Shell and Agip hall. The food at the number one French restaurant “La Scala” is first-class!, he narrated.
