Marriage is one of the most important human institutions. Yet, it’s the most troubled. In my experience as a life coach, I’d like to share some ideas on the wrong moves people make in marriage. Read on:
- Never marry because of money. Your expectations may not materialize
- Never marry without courtship. You’d need to know your partner fairly well before you say “I do”.
- Never marry to escape from poverty or financial challenges. It may worsen your problems.
- Never marry because of beauty alone. It fades over time.
- Never marry because of peer pressure. God’s time is the best.
- Never marry because your pastor wants you to. You may get in a wrong relationship.
- Never marry because of ministry. It’s unbiblical.
- Never marry because your partner is a virgin. It’s no guarantee she’d be faithful.
- Never marry because your partner is from your tribe, village or area. These are not enough qualifications for marital success.
- Never marry because you’re lonely. It’s no good reason to marry.
