Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2: AJ looks incredible in new training footage
Anthony Joshua is, of course, one of Britain’s greatest boxers.
He continues to put on showpiece fights as he boasts a record of 24 wins from 26 career fights, including 22 wins via knockout.
Though, as you’ll notice, he has lost two bouts.
The first of which came when Joshua was originally scheduled to face Jarrell Miller until he failed three drug tests, leading to Andy Ruiz Jr stepping in to fill the void. This fight is considered one of the biggest upsets in boxing history, as the Mexican came away with the win, but AJ was able to avenge the loss in a rematch six months later in Saudi Arabia.
The other loss came against Oleksandr Usyk in Joshua’s most recent fight on September 25.
Revenge seems to be on the Brit’s mind again as a rematch with Usyk is next in line. There was uncertainty as to whether this fight would take place, however, due to obvious current events in Usyk’s home country of Ukraine.

Djokovic loses to Davidovich at Monte Carlo Masters
Following his reluctance to be vaccinated against Covid-19, Novak Djokovic stated he “run out of steam” in his opening encounter at the Monte Carlo Masters on Tuesday, only his second tournament of the year.
The world number one lost 6-3, 6-7 (5/7), 6-1 in the second round against 46th-ranked Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina after surrendering his service nine times in a sloppy effort.
“I spent the entire match dangling from the ropes.” “I was continuously chasing the outcome,” said Djokovic, whose only another appearance in 2022 was in Dubai in February, where he played three matches.
“I didn’t like how I felt physically in the third,” she says (set). I literally ran out of gas.
FIFA launches football streaming platform
FIFA announced the launch of its own digital platform on Tuesday, which will include live streaming of thousands of football events, archive video from the World Cup, and a library of other material in a number of languages.
Fifa+, the platform’s moniker, will display over 40,000 matches in 2022, including 11,000 women’s games, according to the international football’s governing organization.
“From the debut, 1,400 matches will be live broadcast monthly on FIFA+, with the number gradually increasing,” FIFA added.
It is making public the full archive from the men’s and women’s World Cups, “totaling more than 2,000 hours.”
Australia to host 2026 Commonwealth Games
The Australian state of Victoria announced on Tuesday that it will host the Commonwealth Games in 2026, with all athletic events taking place outside of the state capital of Melbourne and spread over multiple locations.
Daniel Andrews, the state’s premier, praised the Commonwealth Games Federation for accepting Victoria’s pitch, admitting that its model is “a little riskier than just running it in the middle of a large city.”
The 2026 Games will be staged in four regional hubs across the state, each with its own athletes’ village, in the towns of Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Gippsland.
The Commonwealth Games Federation’s president, Louise Martin, lauded Victoria’s bid as “a bold and imaginative vision” for the four-year multisport event.
