Nigeria forward, Josh Maja has turned down a move to Sky Bet Championship club, Birmingham City.
Birmingham City were on the verge of sealing a deal for Maja on Wednesday, with the forward set to pen a five-year contract.
But the Nigerian has now opted to stay with his French club, Girondins Bordeaux, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
The 23-year-old will now sign a two-year extension at Bordeaux which will see him paid 50% of his wages next June.
The striker can also leave on a free should Girondins Bordeaux fail to secure promotion to the Ligue 1.
Maja joined Bordeaux from Sunderland in 2019.
