The President of Masterseed Solidarity Movement, the Political Arm of Masterseed College of Bishops and Ministers Network,USA and Nigeria, Archbishop Prof Emma David Okafoagu has given reasons why the Body is hosting a One Day Prayer Summit for Nigeria. During a Breakfast Meeting for the Executive Members of the Movement at the New Covenant of God Mission, Akabuokwu Uruagu Nnewi Anambra State on Friday, the Archbishop said:
“”We have been praying for good leadership in Nigeria for a long time which has taken us to different places including the Ecumenical Centre In Abuja, we have toured over 20 states in Nigeria encouraging the Governors to ensure good governance for their people. This time around we want to have a Prayer Summit at Awka on Tuesday the 4 of October 2022 at Mama Africana Hall, No7, Uche Ekwunife Crescent,Iyiagu By Quarters,Awka Anambra State.
Most of the time that we do this time of prayers,God normally direct us on who will win the election and we do the announcement.””.
On whether the prayer summit is only for the Presidential election,he replied: “” No it is for all the elections the Presidential, the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Houses of Assembly and for States that are conducting Governorship elections. It is a National Prayer Summit for Nigeria and the Theme is: ”
God Is Totally In Charge Of Nigeria”. and the Topic is: “Breakthrough From God”. It is also a place for Political Aspirants and Stakeholders.
A place they can build themselves spiritually and politically.We will leave no stone unturned to make sure that lives are touched in every area of human endeavors.””. On his expectations, he replied: “” After the prayer,we expect peace in the country, all States and ocal Government Areas. We expect credible, peaceful and violence free election and maximum Security in Anambra State.
Nigeria is in need of a paradigm shift and we expect this as a result of the prayers.”. On how the Prayer Summit concerns Anambra State since Anambra is not participating in the Governorship election,he answered: “”It concerns Anambra State a lot, because Anambra State in need of a New State that is free from kidnapping, free from armed robbers, free from thuggery, and free from all dubious elements. We have been praying specifically for Anambra State and we will not stop.””
