The recently concluded G-Innovation Football Scouting Tournament has continued to throw up exciting feedbacks from scouts and football managers who attended the 3-day soccer event held in Ibadan, Oyo State.
We recall that over 10 invited teams drawn from different parts of Nigeria participated in the tournament and with 3 top foreign scouts from Germany, Holland and France, and several top local soccer scouts and coaches, including 3SC Coach Gbenga Ogunbote in attendance.
The tournament, according to the organiser, Edwin Chigozie Nwagwu, the President of G-Innovation Football Club, the tournament was a resounding success.
“We discovered so many talented young footballers, but at the end, we eventually settled for the best 8 players selected from the teams that participated. And I tell you, it wasn’t an easy task.
“We’re able to select players in the moulds of Kanu, Osimhen, Rufai, Mikel and Okocha. We’re also confident that in the next few years, they would come strong and dominate the football world,” the youthful football administrator enthused confidently.
Experienced Nigerian football coach, Gbenga Ogunbote and the foreign scouts, waxed lyrical on the impressive talents discovered at the tournament. As they also agreed in unison, that the future is bright for Nigerian football.
Meanwhile, the management of G-Innovation Football Club have entered into a football partnership agreement with Holland based TwinSports Agency. Nwagwu, said the partnership is aimed at facilitating players development and management, adding that it would go a long way to help his football club achieve its set goals.
