Blood blue is royalty. And it certainly comes with its alluring and powerful perks. And if your royalty, is a rich as the Qatari Royal family, reportedly worth $335 billion, you can actually do no wrong.
And yes, royalty comes in several packages. From Africa to Asia, the Middle-East and the Arab world, members of the royal families enjoys the status of special breeds.
The population of Qatar is 2.6 million. And yet, it feels as though the royal owns half of London. Undoubtedly, one of the wealthiest royal families in the world is that of Qatar.
The history of the House of Thani, is extensive. Mohammed bin Thani founded it in 1847. He was the richest first absolute monarch. And members of the royal family are thought to be in thousands.
The third-largest natural gas and oil reserves are found in Qatar. This has made its ruling family extraordinarily wealthy. And it is the third richest royal family in the world. Tamin bin Hammad Al Thani, is in charge at the moment. He is the youngest sovereign in the world at 42. He has a net worth of $1.2 billion.
Today, it is assumed that the Qatari royal family owns half of London. One member of the royal family is Meza bin Nasser, the ex-wife of the Emir of Qatar. For $80 million, she purchased an opulent property on Cornwall Terrace. A further $40 million was then spent by her to purchase 2-3 Cornwall Terrace. There are 7 bedrooms and 21,500 square feet at 1 Cornwall Terrace. Additionally, it offers spas and a recreational area with a gym and an indoor pool.
As a fact, the Qatari royal family posseses more real estate in the city’s centre than the monarch of England. For instance, it obtained 20% market share in Camden. In Hyde Park it also owns a portion of the most expensive apartment building in the world. The Victory Park Olympic Village in London, was even purchased by the Al Thanis. The highest structure in the UK, the Shard in London, is also owned by Qatar.
The Al-Thani family also owns property in the United States. For $107.9 million, they acquired a 219,000 square foot structure close to the White House. The royal family is known for its luxurious travel. Its $348 million super yacht, Katara, is its property. Al-Mirqab, a multi dollar cruise ship is another asset of the family. The luxury yacht, known as the ‘floating castle’, has 12 suites. Picaso and Van Gogh artworks are used to embellish the handcraft furniture.
The royal family of Qatar has luxurious cars. The royal family has one member who drives a Bugatti Chiron, with a speed of 300 mph, the model broke the record of the fastest automobile. Without personalization, such a car would cost roughly $5 million. Additionally, Hammad bin Khalifa Al Thani operates a Chiron. He also owns a Ferrari Monza SP2 and a Lamborghini Sian FKP 37
The royal family holds significant stock in important corporations including, Volkswagen, Tiffany & Co, and the Empire State Building. The London Stock Exchange is 8 per cent owned by the Al Thani. The royal family of Qatar enjoys sports, as well. For $44 million, one member acquired Malaga CF in 2010. The National Olympic Committee’s Chairman is Emir Tamin bin Hammad Al Thani.
