All Set For 10th Edition Of Sandie Beach Rugby Football Fiesta

All the roads will lead to Marwa Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the 10th edition of the Sandie Beach Rugby fiesta, scheduled for Sunday, December 4, 2022.

The yearly sports, music and entertainment event have become a regular staple in the local and international rugby football calendar. As it continues to attract rugby football players, teams and enthusiasts from within and outside Nigeria.

Speaking on the event, Chief Executive Officer of Turbocrest, the organisers of the event and former Nigeria male rugby team player, Tunbosun Johnson, stated that this year’s edition would be special in several interesting ways, as it is also to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the event.

” We are so happy to hit this milestone and we are growing. Therefore, there are planning to make this year’s edition very special. Some of the special features this year, include the cross bar challenge, a swim suit contest, fun-filled but competitive games.

“We’re having 6 male teams including two from Ghana and Cameroon, as well as, many other exciting shows,” he disclosed.

He was quick to express his gratitude to God for hitting the 10 years mark, as well as, the achievements of the event, in providing an avenue for lovers of the game to come out and enjoy it in a very interesting and exciting fiesta like atmosphere, while luxuriating on a sunny beach.

” It’s not been easy, I can tell you that. The demands are challenging and great, but we aren’t relenting on our oars, as we keep pushing to be better and bigger.

” We are officially an international event with several local and foreign interests and teams on board. and the standard is growing, also the numbers. Also this event will be usually covered live on our social media platforms, including the Sandiebeachrugby on a dedicated YouTube channel,” he remarked.

While rallying for more individual and corporate supports to make the annual rugby football fiesta bigger and better, he expressed his gratitude to the some of the corporate supporters and sponsors of the event, that includes, Nigerian Breweries, Famboss Nigeria Ltd, Whassan Ltd, Maritean Nigeria Ltd, Super Sports and Nigerians in diaspora organisation, Singapore chapter.
