Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has identified two big advantages France has over Argentina ahead of both teams’ 2022 FIFA World Cup final tie at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday.
According to Drogba, France has the advantage of being in the World Cup final and winning it four years ago.
France will attempt to become the first team in 60 years to retain the FIFA World Cup trophy on Sunday when they face Argentina this weekend.
Recall that Didier Deschamps’ men won the 2018 edition of the World Cup in Russia.
Les Bleus had qualified for the final after beating Morocco 2-0 in the semi-final, while Argentina thrashed Croatia 3-0.
France do have the advantage of being in the final and winning it four years ago,” Drogba told BBC Sport.
“You know how to handle the pressure, you have been there, but they have new players and it will be new for them.
“It might be the first time some of them have played against Lionel Messi as well. The pressure will be there.
“This France team is very, very competitive, especially with Didier Deschamps as their manager. They want to win it back to back.”
