The atmosphere is convivial and there is joy in the lands, as Nigerians join other people of the world to celebrate the holiday periods of Christmas and New Year.
Gifts and seasonal greetings have equally been pouring on the people. Some prominent Nigerians have not been left out in this regards.
President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, in his goodwill message urge Nigerians to celebrate the season with joy, gratitude, kindness, modesty and care for each other.
“Yes, there are several reasons to celebrate this season. However, I want to urge us all to reflect on the reasons for this season and celebrate the occasion with joy, modesty, gratitude, kindness and good care for each other.
“On behalf of myself and the entire Nigerian basketball community, I pray that the blessings of this season, rain upon us as a nation and I say, Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New year to all Nigerians,” Kida prayed.
Nigeria’s Pillar Of Sports, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, went philosophical, as he admonished Nigerians to reflect on the happenstances around the world and particularly, Nigeria. The highly regarded philanthropist and sports enthusiast, added that Nigerians should be prayerful and thankful to God, while celebrating the season.
“I am happy that we’re alive and healthy to witness this year’s Christmas celebrations. Yet, I want usvti also reflect on the several unforrunate happenings around the world.
“It is good to celebrate this season, but let’s be thankful and also pray for a better Nigerian society and the world at large. I wish all Nigerians, home and in diaspora, merry Christmas and a peaceful and joyful New year, he added.
