ICHIE UDOKA NNOBI* *APPRECIATES* *NNOBIANS

As Igwe Nick Obi* *Celebrates 2023 Ofala.*

It was more of a carnival on the 1st of January 2023 at Nnobi, Idemili South LGA of Anambra State, when the entire Community went agog in celebration of the 2023 Ofala Festival of HRM Igwe Engr Nick Obi Igwe Nnobi. The event was preceeded by a Pontifical High Mass at Madonna Catholic Church Nnobi. Some of the activities that marked the event were the conferment of Special Titles and Awards, paying of homages, entertainment, appearance of masquerades, dancing groups e.t.c. Speaking to Journalists who came to cover the event, HRM, Igwe Engr Nick Obi thanked the people that came from far and near to witness this year’s Ofala and prayed that they all have their wishes granted. He said he is specially grateful for the unity and peace that prevades the town and expressed the desire that this will continue to usher in progress and more development for the town. He thanked everyone who in one way or the other contributed to the success of the ceremony. Also speaking to the Press, Chief ( Barr.) L.C. Ezenyi, Ichie Udoka Nnobi, Ichie Digital, first of all thaked God and gave Him glory, because according to him:” If the hands of God were not there,it won’t have been successful. So, the glory goes to God first. Also I want to commend the Planning Committee for a job well done, thirdly I want to say a big thank you to Nnobi as a whole, because if Nnobi people had said they won’t be here, nobody would force them out of their homes, but they turned out en mass to show that Igwe is now fully accepted in Nnobi. Very many thanks to our beloved Igwe, because without his full cooperation and support this ceremony would not have held. The event required everyone’s efforts, but the major thing is that the hands of God is there. I’m very impressed by what happened and I thank God because it will continue to be like this and even better. The important thing is that the eminent people are now interested in the Chieftaincy of Nnobi and the progress of Nnobi.”. On his prayers for Igwe Nick Obi and everyone else in Nnobi, he offered:”My prayer is that God will continue to protect us. He has given us blessing and progress in 2022. The one He will give us in 2023 will be more than the ones He has been giving to us. My prayer is that all of us will live beyond 2023 and have many more years to witness this type of Festival.” In Jesus name! Amen.
