History would be made on February 5, 2023, as the much-anticipated prestigious Black History and Lifestyle Awards ceremony holds in Lagos.
The Black history and lifestyle awards show will celebrate black excellence and reward deserving black heroes. Already, voting has commenced for nominees in different categories on its dedicated portal, www.blackhistoryandlifestyle.com/nominees and it is expected to end January 22, 2023.
Meanwhile, an impressive list of 17 distinguished Nigerians have been included for nominations in the 12 different categories of the awards.
All the nominees in the categories are, Tobi Amusan, Asisat Oshoala and Sadio Mane(Sports); Abdulsamad Rabiu, Strive Masiyiwa, Aliko Dangote (Entrepreneurship); John Momoh, Patrick Quarcoo, Linus Gitahi(Media&Communications); Loza Maleombho, Ohimai Atafo, Image Ayissi(Fashion); Olusegun Obasanjo, William Ruto, Ably Ahmed (Politics) and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Paul Kagame, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf(Leadership).
Other nominees include, Davido, Nasty C, Sarkodie (Entertainment); Theophilus Danjuma, Tony Elumelu, Patrice Motsepe(Philanthropy); Shola Akinlade, Ham Serunjogi and Mitchell Elegbe(Information Technology); Nike Monica Okundaye, Wole Soyinka, David Adjaye(Arts&Culture); Chimamanda Ngozi-Adichie, Abdulrazak Gurmah, Alexander Anim-Mensah(Academics) and Nelson Mandela, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and Kofi Awoonor(Posthumous).
