Nigeria Pillar of sports Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike has applauded the U-20 Flying Eagles of Nigeria for securing the ticket to fly the country’s flag at the Fifa World cup in Indonesia, later this year.
The Nigeria team defeated their Uganda counterparts 1-0 in the quarter finals of the ongoing U-20 AFCON in Egypt to advance to the semifinals, which guarantees the Flying Eagles the ticket to the World cup.
Speaking to Journalists on the outcome of the match, Chief Ejidike was full of praises to the Coach Ladan Bosso lads for the superb performance and for securing the vital ticket to the World cup.
The Nigeria Pillar of Sports commended the new leadership of the NFF for ensuring that the best legs were selected and within the age limit which was attested to, by soccer followers in Africa.
He, therefore, charged the boys not to rest on the oars as they move into the semi finals, stressing that the same commitment and resilience should be put up to reach the finals.
Chief Ejidike assured the team that Nigeria Football followers will continue to give them the needed support and prayers to succeed.
