Ahead of the much-awaited kick off for the 2023/2024 Nationwide Football League season, the Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, Olusola Ogunowo has reassured clubs and fans of the participating teams in the league of quality and top notch officiating at the matches.
Ogunowo gave this assurance while responding to questions by journalists during the well-attended press conference and unveiling ceremony of the new NLO football season.
“We understand the fears and concerns often raised by fans and stakeholders over poor officiating of matches,” Ogunnowo began.
“However, let me assure you that the management of the NLO are aware of the fears and concerns. But I want to remind you that over the years, NLO have displayed zero-tolerance for poor and bad officiating, by corrupt match officials at our games.
“We have a proactive mechanism that ensures that only good and incorruptible match officials handle all our matches. And officiating at this year’s league would only be better,” the renowned football administrator assured confidently.
Meanwhile, the new NLO Season kicks off in next week Wednesday in Kano, as Kano Pillars Junior FC tackles Kwankwayisar United FC, in the star match of the opening week.
