Nigeria’s foremost football fans group, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), has congratulated the members of the newly reconstituted Nigeria football league boards.
In the congratulatory message signed by its National Chairman, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, the NFSC, praised the Nigeria Football Federation board ably led by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, for their due diligence in appointing the board members, who it believes would help it, actualise its set targets aimed at further development of the game in Nigeria.
“We say, congratulations to all the members of the newly reconstituted football league boards. Like the leadership of the NFF, we believe in their capabilities to deliver and make Nigeria football better,” the statement reads.
“Much more, we implore them to see these appointments as a call to national service, for the betterment of Nigeria football,” it concluded.
During the weekend, the Nigeria Football Federation reconstituted the boards of the various football leagues. It appointed renowned sports journalist, George Aluo, as Chairman of the Nigeria National League Board. While Former deputy governor of Nasarawa state Hon. Silas Agara and Ms. Nkechi Obi, would lead the NLO and NWPL respectively.
